Gordon S. Campbell, Sr., 75, of North Wales, died April 11, 2012. He was the husband of Margaret (Cressee) Campbell, his wife of 53 years.

Born October 1, 1936 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Edward and Josephine (Flinn) Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was a 1959 graduate of Drexel University and a proud member of the Golden Dragon Society. Earlier in life, he was a member of the Lansdale Jaycees and became an Exhausted Rooster.

He was employed for twenty years with Hatfield Quality Meats, retiring in 2007. Gordon’s hobbies included golf, tennis, and bowling. Family and friends will remember how he “lit up” every room he entered.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gordon S. Campbell, Jr. and wife Rosa of Hatfield, and Robert G. Campbell and wife Dot of Palmetto, FL; a sister, Claire Tranor and husband Charles of Levittown, PA; a brother, Edward Campbell and wife Carol of Southampton; and a large extended family.

The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m.
