Leonore “Lee” (Weber) Krauss, age 90, died April 14, 2012. Born September 3, 1921, in Barren Hill, Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Richard Casselberry and Olive (Dager) Weber.
Raised in Lansdale she attended Lansdale High School, Peirce Business School, and Ursinus College. Lee married Daniel Ivan Kauss of Lansdale on March 8, 1947. He died November 19, 1993, after 46 years of marriage.
Mrs. Krauss joyfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, along with her husband, in seven congregations in PA and NJ from 1949 until present at which time she was associated with the Souderton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She found great joy in glorifying the Word of Jehovah, our Creator, by teaching the “Good News” of the now established heavenly Kingdom to “those rightly disposed to everlasting life,” (Acts 13:48; Matthew 24:14), and learning about all of God’s wonderful creations.
Mrs. Krauss also researched her family Pennsylvania Dutch geneology, from three families arriving in Germantown in 1693 and the Krausses in the Schwenkfelder migration of 1733 and the Webers in 1734.
She is survived by one brother, Richard A. Weber, Lansdale, and five nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1037 Spur Road, Souderton, PA 18964. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Souderton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses (address above). Arrangements by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA.
