Marian T. (Treible) Oister, 98, of Ambler, passed away April 22, 2012 at Spring House Estates. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Oister, who passed away in 1980.
Born September 30, 1913 in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Della Mae (Smith) Treible. Following her retirement from the Abington School District, where she spent over 20 years as an administrative secretary, Marian worked tirelessly as a volunteer with Abington Hospital. She logged more than 7,000 hours of service during her time there. She was also a Red Cross volunteer. Additionally, she was an active member with the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was honored to be a past Matron three times.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Roegge and her husband, Tom, of Prescott, AZ; her son Ronald Oister and his wife, Jenny, of Lady Lake, FL; her grandchildren, Alyssa Eveland and her husband, Jeff, of VA , Ann Giallella and her husband ,Anthony, of FL; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Marian was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Kevin Eveland.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service 11 AM Monday April 30, 2012 at Gwynedd Estates, 301 Norristown Rd., Ambler, PA 19002, where they may call after 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marian’s name to the donor’s favorite charity.
