William A. “Alan” Hemmerle, 61, of Perkasie, passed away May 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of April J. (Yeakel) Hemmerle with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage in March of this year.
Born February 26, 1952 in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Harry N. and Nancy (Dudgeon) Hemmerle.
A 1970 graduate of North Penn High School, Al went on to work almost 40 years as a quality control inspector for Brooks Instruments in Hatfield. He was also worked part time as a security guard at Grandview Hospital. Along with his wife, he attended Line Lexington Mennonite Church for many years.
In addition, Al was an avid sports fan with an affinity for various Pennsylvania teams and Nascar Racing. He treasured time with his family and will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. In addition to his wife, Al is survived by his daughters, Jennifer N. Bowman and her husband, Darrin, of Coopersburg and Carrie R. Stahley and her husband, Kurt, of Schuylkill Haven; his grandchildren, Emily, Brandon, and Bradley Bowman and Travis and Tyler Stahley; and his sister, Cyndy H. Sawyer and her husband, Andrew, of New Hampshire.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 9:30 – 11AM, Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Line Lexington Mennonite Church, 80 Hilltown Pike, Line Lexington, PA 18932 where the funeral service will take place at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
