Harry S. Bingham

Harry S. Bingham, 93, of Lansdale, died Tuesday, March 29, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Jones) Bingham, his wife of 42 years.

Born August 29, 1928 in Millville, NJ, he was a son of the late Ralph and Carolyn (Souder) Bingham.

Harry was a civil engineer, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and served in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia. He worked at several universities throughout his career, where he met his wife Sylvia. They were married in 1980 and have many memories of travels, adventures, service, and volunteering.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ronald Bingham (Susanne) of Jackson, TN, Gary Bingham of Ocean City, NJ, Timothy Bingham of Berlin, VT, Tamara James (Doug) of Upper Saddle River, NJ, Stephen Rynick (Bonnie) of Louisiana, David Rynick (Melissa Blacker) of Worcester, MA, Ellen Solt (Craig) of Stroudsburg, PA, and Janet DePooter (Ted) of Fayetteville, GA; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Bingham.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell Bingham; sister, Frances Bingham Buzey; and sister-in-law, Gretchen Bingham.

Relatives and friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Brittany Pointe Estates, 1001 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Harry's memory to a charity of one's choice.
