Michael John Jansen

Michael John Jansen, 45, of North Wales, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 27, 2019.
Born April 4, 1974, in Norristown, he was the son of Deborah Ann (Interrante) Jansen, of Telford, and the late William J. Jansen, Jr.

Mike was employed by Local 542 operating engineers as a heavy equipment operator. He was a football coach for the North Penn Squires, and a graduate of North Penn High School. Mike had a strong passion for the outdoors, especially hunting! His love of playing in the dirt extended from his youthful years into his 40's.

Along with his loving mother, other survivors include two children, Lydia Rose Jansen and Michael John Jansen, Jr., along with their mother, Regina I. (Kernen) Jansen of North Wales; sister, Nicole (Jansen) Dombrow (Travis), of Glenolden; three maternal grandmothers, Nancy L. Burns, Phyllis Burns and Marilyn Interrante; maternal grandfather, Fred Interrante; his biological father, Michael Olmor, along with his extended family to include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large community of friends.

He is predeceased by a brother, Brent William Jansen, cousin, Ronald Solomon and uncle, John O'Hara.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA, 19446.

A second viewing will begin 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019, at the Funeral Home, with his Celebration of Life Service to start 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

At the family's request and the wishes of his children, Lydia and Mikey, PLEASE wear brighter, happier colors to his visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to his GoFundMe account, to offset final expenses.
