Adam J. Nicola, 60, of Hatfield, died February 14, 2025. He was the son of the late Leftary Nicola and Myra K. (Schwartz) Nicola.
Born August 7, 1964, in Staten Island, NY.
Adam was a remarkable man who always thought of others even throughout his long battle with cancer. Early on he was a pharmacy tech at CVS for 15 years. Later on he worked for 2 supermarkets dealing with people which he found the most fulfilling and rewarding. Adam never allowed his illness to get in the way of his loyalty to his job. No matter the weather or how bad he was feeling he always went to work. He was beloved by both his coworkers as well as his customers. His work gave him purpose in life and he loved being there and they loved him as well. Adam was also an animal lover and had owned several cats during his life. Being originally from New York he loved the NY Mets and would frequently go to a game back when Shea Stadium was still there.
Survivors include two sisters, Andrea DeSalvo and Barbara DeSalvo, wife of Gregory Orpilla; his nephews, Christopher and Alexander Orpilla; and his dear friends, Kevin and Debbie Milius, Maria Vitello and Lisa Gardner
Adam is predeceased by his sister Patricia DeSalvo.
