Amy Elizabeth Donathan

April 23, 1977 — May 2, 2026

Amy Elizabeth Donathan, 49, of North Wales passed away on Saturday May 2, 2026.

Amy was born in Wilmington, Delaware to Mary (Abernethy) Sheridan and the late Paul Sheridan III.   She attended Ursuline Academy in Wilmington and Western Maryland College, where she proudly played tennis for the "Green Terror".  Amy excelled academically and went on to Thomas Jefferson University, where she obtained her Master's of Science in Physical Therapy.

After graduating, Amy worked as a physical therapist in Delaware.  It was during this time she met her future husband, Mark, at a continuing education course.  Without the other knowing, they both obtained each other's phone numbers through a mutual connection at the course.  Amy was always quick to remind Mark she made the first call, however.  Amy eventually relocated to Philadelphia where the couple began building a life together.  They were married on November 3, 2007 and welcomed their first child less than a year later.  After their second child was born, they relocated from Philadelphia to North Wales, Pennsylvania, and eventually welcomed their third child.  Amy continued to work as a physical therapist in the home care setting, allowing her to be present when the kids returned home from school.  They were the center of her life, and she would often stay up late finishing her work documentation in order to spend as much time with them as possible.

The couple joined Corpus Christi Parish in Lansdale soon after their move from Philadelphia.  All of their children attended the Parish school, at which Amy was very active.  She frequently volunteered at bingo events and other fundraisers, as well as with CYO events.  Amy's Catholic faith was extremely important to her, and she instilled this faith in her children.  She was also very competitive, and was happy her daughters followed in her footsteps, playing and excelling in tennis at the high school level.

Amy loved the outdoors, spending many family vacations in the lake region of Maine, where she always caught the biggest fish and was quick to point this out to her husband and children (competitive).  She loved hiking and looking for wildlife, teaching her children how to avoid inadvertently running into a snake, which she did not love.

Amy is survived by her loving husband, Mark; three children, Kate, Grace, and Jack; her mother, Mary Sheridan; her brother Paul Sheridan IV (Jen); and her niece Cassie Sheridan.

Friends and family are invited to call beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, Pennsylvania, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
