ARLENE L. YARON died peacefully in the early hours of November 2, just before her morning tea. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Paul Yaron, and her grandchild, Bradford Shaw. Leaving behind are her 6 children, Paul (Donna) Yaron, Laura Yaron, Angela (Mike) Shaw, Christine (Don) Schnell, Joseph and Matthew Yaron. Surviving are 8 grandchildren, Kyle, Nicole, Tyler, Corie, Brian, Veronica, Ashley and Ella. To list each grandchild is significant to how she lived her life, loving each child individually, as if they were the first and only.
She was born in Scranton, PA, into a loving family, and later moved to Baltimore, MD. In Baltimore, she met her lifelong best friend, Ruthann, and her future husband, Paul, at a St. Patrick's Day Dance. They dated, fell in love, married, and from that point on she became a Navy wife, raising 6 children, and moving from base to base.
The challenge of daily life became the norm for her, until eventually, her children left to start their own lives. The new lives took her children all over, some being military themselves, some with families, and some putting down roots for work. However, the home base for children and grandchildren was always with her.
After her husband's Navy retirement, they settled in Warminster, PA, eventually, moving to Waynnesboro, PA, to be closer to their daughter. Upon the death of her husband, she continued to live with her daughter, in Chambersburg, PA.
Towards the end of her life, she moved to Perkasie, PA, with her daughter and son-in-law to be closer to family. It was here, where her major decline from Alzheimer's required a move to a memory care unit.
Though her decline seemed rapid, there was a part of her still there. Her greatest joy at the end, was hearing how her family loved her. It brought a smile to her face, and that is how she left us.
She will be remembered by all, for her immense heart, her compassion, and above all, her endless cups of tea.
Thank You
The Yaron Family
