Barbara H. Rafter

Barbara H. Rafter, 87, a resident of Dock Woods Community in Lansdale, died Saturday, July 18, 2026. She was the wife of the late M. Patrick Rafter, who died November 24, 1996.

Born January 17, 1939 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Marie (Hauns) Hildebrand.

Mrs. Rafter was a longtime, dedicated parishioner of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church where she served as head usher and extraordinary minster of Holy Communion. She was employed as a teacher’s aide with North Penn High School for many years, and her hobbies included swimming and walking.

Survivors include her children, Michael O’Neill (Noreen) of Lansdale, Kelli Suzuki of Hatfield, and Kristine Brass (Kevin) of Pennington, NJ; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Suzuki; sister, Loretta Alspach; and brother, William Hildebrand.

Relatives and friends may call between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA 19454 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

Barbara loved living at Dock Woods and is thankful for their support and love.
