Barbara Ann Rutter

Barbara Ann Rutter, 80, of Dresher, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Barbara was the loving wife of 57 years to the late Harry Richard (Rick) Rutter, Jr. and mother to Jennifer Swanson and her husband Greg of Rye, NY and Addie Jonas and her husband Beau Lyons of London, ENG.

Born in Lansdale, PA on June 29, 1945, Barbara was the daughter of the late Joseph Marrone and Margaret (Freed) Marrone. She was a graduate of North Penn High School. An avid homemaker, Barbara focused on her family, volunteering and taking care of those she loved.

Barbara's favorite pastime was hosting family and friends with her husband Rick at their home on Long Beach Island, NJ. It was there that she was able to spend the most time with her beloved grandchildren, John, Harry and Maggie.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Barabara is survived by her brother Joseph Marrone, Jr. (Christine), her sisters-in-law Kim Dobson (James) and Kathleen Opper, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Wendy Jonas.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 13 at 9:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hill Avenue, Ardsley, PA 19038. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m.
