Bernida C. Guaglionona

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Bernida Guaglionona, our beloved Mom, Mom-Mom, Grandmom, and GiGi. She passed away peacefully at the age of 89.

She was born to the late Benedetto and Mary (DeFrancisco) Cavato in Philadelphia, PA on November 28, 1936. She worked at McNeil Laboratories, a Pharmaceutical company, where she met the love of her life Lawrence Guaglionona. They were married for 57 years before his passing on Jan. 29, 2018. She also worked at the Fitzpatrick Elementary School in Philadelphia for over 25 years.

She will always be remembered for her homemade cookies of many varieties, her spaghetti and crabs and meatballs at the beach, her Christmas Eve dinners of 7 fishes, along with her Hiya Honey’s and her XOOX signature on her cards.

She is survived by her 2 children, Bernida Hiltpold (Peter) and Lawrence Guaglionona (Diane); her 5 grandchildren, Brandi Bunting (Adam), Trey Guaglionona (Tori), Brett Guaglionona (Cassey), Mackenzie Batcha (Seth), and Madison Hiltpold; and 2 great-grandchildren, Bella and Colton Bunting.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. followed by her funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446. Burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
