Betty H. Hackman, 98, of Lansdale, died Thursday, April 16, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman M. Hackman, who died July 26, 2019.
Born April 3, 1928 in Franconia Township, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Katie (Bower) Halteman.
Mrs. Hackman was a longtime member of Plains Mennonite Church, Hatfield. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Cassel's Produce, Souderton, for many years. She also worked in the Law Office of Clemens, McNulty & Gifford, Souderton.
Betty had many hobbies, including gardening, reading, and traveling with family and friends. She was also a skilled seamstress, and she loved flowers.
Survivors include her children, Nina G. Landis (James) of East Greenville, Daryl J. Hackman (Barbara) of Perkasie, and Lorie B. Yoder (Calvin) of Lititz; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Halteman (Sara) of Sellersville.
She was preceded in death by five siblings, Merrill, Alton, Curtis, Norma Benner, and Pauline Vail.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026 at Plains Mennonite Church, 50 W. Orvilla Road, Hatfield, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
