Betty J Saukaitis, 98, of Peter Becker Community in Harleysville, went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G Saukaitis to whom she had been married for 71 years at the time of his passing in 2020.

Born September 13, 1927 in Girardville, Pa, Betty spent the first thirty years of her life in Mount Carmel, Pa. There she met Bob while both working at family owned Barkers Bakery, she as a cake decorator and he as a baker. After moving to Lansdale and raising her children, Betty returned to work enjoying employment at several local bakeries throughout the years. Betty was well known for her love of baked goods and sweets!

Betty was also known for love for her home and interest in interior decor. She established lived decorating for Christmas. It was very hard for her to leave her longtime home on Poplar Street once her physical needs deemed it necessary.

Most of all, Betty loved her family and enjoyed time spent together and keeping up with everything happening in their lives. In recent years, the arrival of her much beloved great granddaughter Campbell Avril brought her boundless joy—-which she shared with everyone!

Bringing much happiness and comfort to Betty in her final years were her wonderful caregivers at Peter Becker. Family will forever be grateful for the excellent and loving care that they provided to her.

Betty was a faithful member of St John’s United Church of Christ where she worshipped until physically unable to attend.

She is survived by her children Karen E Kinsey (Jeffrey) of Hatfield and Kurt R Saukaitis (Frances) of Horsham; four grandchildren, Lauren Kinsey Ackerman (Justin), Kaitlyn Kinsey Schweitzer (Sean) both of Alexandria, Va, Eric Saukaitis of Lansdale and Rachael Saukaitis of West Norriton; great granddaughter Campbell Ackerman; sister Lois Wesner of York, Pa and several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by two siblings, Charles Slotterback and Ruthie Pinkowski.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Arbor Conference Center in Maplewood Estates within Peter Becker Community 815 Maplewood Drive Harleysville, PA 19438.
