Betty J. Warner

Betty J. Warner, 93, of Hatfield, died Sunday, May 24, 2026.  She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Warner, who died May 2, 2010.

Born January 31, 1933 in Norwalk, CT, she was a daughter of the late Irving and Ruth (Chandler) Jackson.

Mrs. Warner graduated from Catasauqua High School with the Class of 1950 and earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA while also playing on the women's basketball team.

She began her career as a journalist in the magazine industry.  She later had a fulfilling second career as a clerk at the former North Penn Hospital, retiring in the late 1990s.

Betty was an avid reader, and she loved sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and March Madness.  She also enjoyed caring for her family's homestead in Montgomeryville and vacationing in Ocean City, NJ.

Survivors include her sons, Alan I. Warner (Karen) of Towamencin, and Michael J. Warner (Donna) of Lansdale; four grandchildren, Luke, Ava, Nicole, and Danielle; her extended family of nieces and nephews, whose company she loved dearly; and her close friends and neighbors, the Hedash Family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Merilyn "Merri" Straut, whom she loved dearly.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2026 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m.   Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mrs. Warner's memory to the Children's Aid Society, 343 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, PA 17350.
