Carlieze 'Bunny' Grace Vavrina, 71, of North Wales, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 24, 2025, at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas G. Vavrina.
Born September 24, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Leslie English and Dorothy (Jones) Craig.
Carlieze attended North Penn High School and eventually earned a GED. As an adult, she earned an associates degree from Montgomery County Community College, where she met her late husband.
She worked at Miley's Detective Agency in Security Services with Herman, her beloved German Shepard. After that, she was employed by AEL electronics as a technician. She spent many years working as a camera operator and print press plate technician at Safeguard Business Systems. Eventually, she worked at Merck Pharmaceuticals in environmental services and quality assurance operations until she retired.
Throughout her life, Bunny loved dogs, nature, sunsets, shuffleboard and game nights with her friends. Before her stroke, she enthusiastically cruised all over the world with her cruise friends, exploring different cultures and cuisine and taking cherished photographs of her travels. As far as her travels took her, she was happiest being with her family and close friends who were like family to her.
She had a huge heart and could not bear to see a person in need. She spent countless hours helping the homeless, food insecure, and less fortunate on her own or with local organizations.
Carlieze is survived by her son, Anthony J. Craig, and wife Mary T. Pickering; her grandchildren Gabriel and Noah; and her two sisters, Debra Craig, and Dolly Craig. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Charles Craig and Leslie Craig, her two sisters, Gail Craig and Joan (Craig) Waldrup.
The family will receive visitors Friday, May 9th, 9am-11am at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446. A memorial service will begin at 11am. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery immediately following the memorial service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
