Carolyn "Carol" Ann Taylor

June 29, 1944 — April 30, 2026

Carolyn "Carol" Ann Taylor, 81, of North Wales, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 30, 2026.

Carol was born on June 29, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Clarence and Grace  Ross (nee Hess). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ross and her sister, Joan Zukas (nee Ross).

Carol graduated from Patterson High School in Baltimore in 1962. She met the love of her life at a party, and married him in 1964.

She spent her career working as an administrative assistant, beginning at White Marsh Memorial Park before transitioning to Leeds & Northrup, eventually working at Merck Pharmaceuticals in the Regulatory Affairs department for 22 years, until retiring in 2009.

She was devoted to her faith and a dedicated member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montgomeryville since the mid-1970s.  During her membership there, she served in many varying roles on church council.

Carol found joy in many ways.  She loved music, loved to sing, and passed that joy of music to her children.  She joined the Sweet Adelines Women's Barbershop Chorus, Valley Forge Chapter in the 1970s, where she shared her sweet voice around the world.  Carol was also a member and volunteer with the Lansdale Community Concerts for many seasons. Vacations with family provided happy memories--camping trips from Maine to Florida, frequent trips to Walt Disney World and Ocean City, Maryland. Carol enjoyed traveling the globe with her husband to Germany, Ireland, Scotland, and Australia, as well as trips around the United States.  She enjoyed playing cards with extended family gathered around the table in Ocean City playing UNO, or a double-deck Pinochle game at home with her husband and friends.  Carol also found much joy being in the company of friends and neighbors, whether simply talking or a meal out on the town.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John Taylor; two sons, John Taylor, Jr. (Kathleen) of Harleysville and Daniel Taylor of Towamencin; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Taylor, Allison Taylor, Steven Taylor, and Brooke Taylor; and one great-grandson, Ashton Phelan.

A memorial service will be held on the 16th of May at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montgomeryville. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM and services will follow at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church's general fund, 615 Cowpath Road, PO Box 182, Montgomeryville, PA 18936.

Arrangements were entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home.
