Catherine Moser

November 17, 1932 — April 3, 2013

Catherine "Rena" (Tait) Moser, 80, of Lansdale, passed away April 3, 2013 at Abington Health – Lansdale Hospital. She was the wife of the late William W. Moser, Jr., who passed away November 26, 2012, which was their 57th wedding anniversary.

Born November 17, 1932 in Hamilton, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Morrison) Tait.

Catherine came to the United States in 1952, just for a visit, but ended up staying for the remainder of her life and was extremely proud to have become a naturalized citizen in 1968.

She spent her career working as a bank teller, most recently as head teller for PNC Bank in Upper Gwynedd, from where she retired in 1996. She was a Red Hatter, a member of the Lansdale Junior Women's Club and also enjoyed playing Bridge with various groups. Above all else she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed by many.
Catherine's family wishes to thank the staff at Abington Health – Lansdale Hospital and Elm Terrace Gardens for the compassionate care they provided to Catherine in the last few months.

Surviving are her daughter, Katherine "Kim" Palmisano and her husband, William of Quakertown; son, William W. Moser III and his wife, Cathy of North Wales; six grandchildren, Alissa, Gavin, Megan, Andrea, Brian, and Amy; four great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Colin, Jack, and Isabelle; and her sister, Isabelle Tait of Ayr, Scotland.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gavin Tait.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and greet the family from 12-2 PM, Sunday April 7, 2013 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine's name to the Abington Health Foundation Office of Philanthropy, 1200 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 19446 or the Benevolent Fund of Elm Terrace Gardens, 660 N. Broad St., Lansdale, PA 19446.
