Cecilia Jensen

Cecilia (Ceil, CeCe) Jensen (also Lord, Sciler) 94.

Born February 10, 1925 Seattle, Washington. Daughter of Jacob and Castelean Jensen.  Mother of three sons, Albert, Gregory and Eric (killed in action in Vietnam 1969) Lord.  In addition to her sons, Cecilia is survived by daughters-in-law Suzanne and Janet Lord; 3 grandchildren, Amy Kaye nee Lord, Christine DeGuzman nee Lord, Albert Lord III and their eight children.

She married Albert L. Lord (deceased 2006) Christmas Day 1944 at Camp Swift, Texas.  Moved to Philadelphia in 1945 and moved to Lansdale area in 1952.  After a 1956 divorce Cecilia was married to William Sciler from 1958 to 1962.  Later in life she chose to return to her maiden name Jensen.

Cecilia raised her three boys largely on her own during the 50's and 60's.  She worked as an executive secretary at Leeds and Northrup for 25 years in North Wales during which time the family lived in Prospectville, North Wales and Lansdale PA.

Upon retirement in 1987 Cecilia returned to her childhood home in the northwestern part of Washington State where she reconnected with family and friends from her early years.  She returned East in 2016 to be near her sons and their families again as she needed more care.

Cecilia had many interests and accomplishments during the 94 years which she divided almost equally between Pennsylvania and Washington.  Summary information can only inadequately describe Cecilia's life; a life marked by moments of great happiness and more than her share of sorrow.    She was a remarkably active woman, with many friends and relatives she loved dearly.  She ardently attempted and succeeded in remaining optimistic and to find the best in everyone every day.

Cecilia will be laid to rest in Whitemarsh Memorial Park Thursday, June 13, 2019.
