Charles J. Kemp III, 82, of Lansdale, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Doris (Bowman) Kemp, his wife of 60 years.
Born March 22, 1942 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Mabel (Burns) and Charles J. Kemp, Jr.
Mr. Kemp was employed as an electrical engineer with a number of local companies, including Leeds & Northrup and Brooks Instrument, retiring from the James G. Biddle Company in 1997.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. His hobbies included trains, model railroads, and NASCAR. He also loved the Eagles and vacationing at the Villas in New Jersey.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amy Lynn Mansfield (Billy McCormick) of Perkasie, Melissa A. Arbogast (Tim) of Perkasie, and Jonathan C. Kemp of Sellersville; and four grandchildren, Taylor N. Fairfield, Jesse J. Fairfield, Samantha L. Fairfield, and Joseph C. Mansfield.
Graveside services will be held privately in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
