Chéri Huynette Saner

December 9, 1968 — January 20, 2026

Chéri Huynette Saner was a deeply creative spirit, a generous soul, and a devoted follower of Jesus who passed away on January 20, 2026. She was known for her loud, joyful laughter, her big heart, and a sense of humor that could brighten any moment.

Born on December 9, 1968, in Châu Đốc, Vietnam, to Huynh and Dale Saner, Chéri's early life reflected a remarkable global journey. As a child, her family relocated from Vietnam to Tehran, Iran, and later to Saudi Arabia. These formative years shaped Chéri's resilience, independence, and deep appreciation for diverse cultures.

Chéri attended boarding school at Linden Hall in Lititz, Pennsylvania, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, and began her professional career as a graphic designer in Pennsylvania. In 2000, she returned to Saudi Arabia, where she became one of the first single American women employed by Saudi Aramco outside of the education or healthcare sectors.

Chéri dedicated 25 years of service to Saudi Aramco and was widely respected as a talented and imaginative designer. She also gave generously of her time through volunteer service, including many years as a board member on the Saudi Aramco Employee Association, Half Moon Yacht Association and the KSA Expat Annuitants Reunion Committee.

A passionate animal lover, Chéri treasured her many pets throughout the years, including Saudi, Sushi, Xena, and Jake, and most recently her beloved Siamese cat Wasabi and her rescue dog Smitty.

Chéri was known for her radiant smile, glamorous style, and adventurous spirit. She loved to travel, explore the world with friends, and create lasting memories. To her nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as "Aunt Ceci Superstar," a title she claimed with joy and flair. Above all, Chéri cherished her family and friendships.

She faced her battle with cancer with courage, grace, and unwavering faith.

Chéri is survived by her mother, Huynh Saner; sisters Marie Rebl (Steve) and Michelle D'Antoni(JD); brother Johann Saner (Anne); her nieces and nephews Acacia, Sarah, Gaetano, Jack, Gabriel, Anna, and Mary; and her beloved pets, Smitty and Wasabi. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Saner.
