Christopher J. Spizzirri

February 20, 1974 — September 13, 2025

Christopher J. Spizzirri, 51, of Lansdale, PA and formerly of Waxhaw, NC died Saturday, September 13, 2025.  He was the beloved father of Austin J. Spizzirri and Owen C. Spizzirri.

Born February 20, 1974 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Carl J. Spizzirri of Charlotte, NC, and Jane (Dickinson) Brainard, of Lansdale.

Chris earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Journalism from the University of Delaware, a Master's in Public Administration and Public Finance from the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware, and a Juris Doctor from The Beasley School of Law, Temple University. He built a successful career as a dedicated, highly regarded attorney before later transitioning his time to devote to his family, home and computer projects. Over the last ten years, Chris was deeply committed to mental health awareness, hearing loss reform, and immigration rights. He served on many nonprofit boards including NAMI, the Hearing Loss Association, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. He was a proud founding brother of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity at the University of Delaware, a member of Mensa, the St. George's Legal Society, and also gave back by coaching Odyssey of the Mind for his boys and other young scholars.

A passionate Philadelphia sports fan, Chris never missed a chance to cheer for the 76ers, Flyers, Phillies, and especially his beloved Eagles. He was equally passionate about politics and justice, loved building and working with his hands, camping, hiking and was endlessly curious about technology and computers. Above all, he loved time in Ocean City, Philly, and anywhere with his best, faithful dog, Buddy creating meaningful memories.

Chris was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his sons and parents, he is survived by his brother Craig J. Spizzirri of Lansdale; two sisters, Cindy Kettell (John) and Lori Spizzirri; his former wife, Kathleen "Katie" Boylan, of Charlotte, NC; many nieces and nephews, relatives and many friends.
