Conrad Henry Driver

Conrad Henry Driver, 74, of Lansdale, PA passed away at Dock Woods Retirement Community in Lansdale on August 12, 2026.

Conrad was born on August 26, 1951 in Waynesboro, Virginia to the late Justus and Virginia (Weaver) Driver. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg, VA in 1969, later earning a bachelor’s degree from Eastern University in St. David’s PA, and a master’s in business administration from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.

He started his work life in the family business, Driver Heating Oil, in Waynesboro, VA and over the course of his career was a production supervisor at Longacre Poultry, co-owner of a metal fabrication shop, and a representative for Mennonite Mutual Aid, all near Harleysville, PA. He spent the last 17 years of his career as a loan originator for Harleysville Savings Bank. Conrad was also one of the founders of the Montgomery County Mediation Service in Montgomery County, PA.

Raised in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Conrad appreciated the natural world. He enjoyed camping, kayaking, music, and spending time with his dogs. Conrad had a generous and hospitable spirit. Family and friends knew they could count on him to listen with an open mind, to ask good questions, and to give sound advice, all while keeping a good sense of humor and gifting them with his infectious laugh. He and his wife, Lana, hosted an annual Thanksgiving dinner, filled with laughter, connection, and delicious food. They enjoyed welcoming family and friends in their home, for weekend visits, dinners, or games of pool. Conrad was a searcher; he had an open mind and wasn’t satisfied with easy answers. An avid reader, his home was filled with books on many topics, reflecting his desire to learn and to examine life in all its complexity. He was a longtime active member of Perkasie Mennonite Church.

Conrad is survived by his wife, Lana Liberto; five nieces and nephews, Monte Hackney (Elisheba Cornelius) of Waynesboro, VA; Rebecca Scott (Andy Orban) of Charlottesville, VA; Holly Scott (Reuben Miller) of Lovingston, VA; Kara Hackney of Denver, CO; and Joelle Hackney of Raphine, VA and by five great-nieces and nephews: Sitara and Mehrwyn Hackney and Nathaniel, Carrie, and Will Orban. He is also survived by one brother, Nelson Driver of Waynesboro, VA; and three sisters, Evelyn Driver of Harrisonburg, VA, Dorothy Scott (the late Bill Scott) of Charlottesville, VA, and Marian Hackney (Doug Hackney) of Raphine, VA.

A memorial service will be held at Perkasie Mennonite Church, in Perkasie, PA, on September 19 at 3:00. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private internment will be held separately.
