Daniel J. Murphy

Daniel J. Murphy, 79, of Lansdale, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Nancy C. (McGullam) Murphy.

Born August 8, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, NY, he was the son of the late Leslie and Hermine (Berggreen) Murphy.

Dan spent eight years as Port Securityman Third Class in the U.S. Coast Guard, and eleven years as Flotilla Commander in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He spent his career as a salesman at Sealectro and Unisys Corporations. Dan was an avid Nascar fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at Cape Cod. He loved joking around, and lived his life to the fullest.

Along with his wife, Nancy, Daniel is survived by four children, Lee Pierce, Lauren Kulp, Erin Murphy, and Jonathan Murphy; and three sisters, Marge Chesler, June Dell'Angelo, and Lesley D'Angelo.

A memorial service will be held privately.
