David Eakins

David Eakins, 86, of Sellersville, husband of the late Emilia (Muresan) Eakins, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, after a long illness.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel S.B. Eakins and Anna M. (Eckert) Eakins.

David was very good with finances, the stock market and dealing in gold and was very gracious to his family. He was a 1962 graduate of Temple University and worked for PECO for more than 25 years. He was very generous and loving to his family and was a devoted husband to his late wife.

Surviving is his brother Jim Eakins, husband of Pat; nephews Stephen Eakins, husband of Tricia, and Samuel Eakins, husband of Jennifer; great neices Katie, Mary and great nephew Jim; neice-in-law Micheline Eakins and her daughter Audrey.  Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his nephew James Eakins; and sister Diane Sands.

Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2026 from 10:00am to 10:30am at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with a funeral service to begin at 10:30am. Burial will be private in Mount Peace Cemetery, Philadelphia.
