David Gensert

David Gensert, 14, of Lansdale, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Born August 5, 2010 in Doylestown, he was the beloved son of Christopher and Joni (Steele) Gensert, of Lansdale.

David was a student at Arcola Intermediate School in Methacton School District where he completed eighth grade and was on his way to Methacton High School.  David thought school was a privilege and was upset when he could not attend recently.  He enjoyed learning, fun activities, close friends, and even made honors at school.

David was an active member of Cornerstone Church of Skippack where he would worship God as much as he could.

He will be remembered for his charismatic personality and his swagger!  His hobbies included playing and watching sports, enjoying various types of music, and playing video games solo or with his huge group of friends together as a team.  He also enjoyed trading, opening, buying, and selling Pokémon cards.

David loved the UFC, and he knew everyone's style and history.  Recently, he was starting to train to better himself.  The most important thing was David's wholehearted love for his family and friends.  Spending time together made him the happiest.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Brooke K. Gensert of Lansdale; and maternal grandmother, Greta Steele of Lansdale.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Cynthia Derr; and maternal grandfather, Jack Steele.

A visitation will be held between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Cornerstone Church, 1326 Stump Hall Road, Skippack, PA 19474 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in the Garden of Memories of Worcester.
