Donna L. Wolpert

Donna L. Wolpert, 90, of Lansdale, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of Dr. Jack Wolpert, who died in 1990.

Born in 1935 in Sayre, PA, she was the daughter of Donald and Grace Lupton and grew up on a farm outside of Wilawana, PA.  She earned a Bachelor's Degree from West Chester State Teachers College and a Master of Education from Temple University.  Mrs. Wolpert was a dedicated elementary school teacher in the North Penn School District for forty years.  She taught with creativity and passion, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues.

Donna enjoyed camping and traveling, going on cruises with her sisters, attending concerts and educational events, gardening, observing and caring for wildlife, and spending time with family and friends.  She also valued the time she had with her cherished Yorkie, Abie.  In retirement, she taught and attended numerous classes at the PEAK Center and the Lansdale YMCA.  Donna's kindness, caring, generosity, and sense of humor made life brighter for everyone who knew her.

Donna is survived by her sister, Marilyn Klemperer of Blacksburg, VA; eight nieces and nephews: Elizabeth Anderson, Tracy Killian (Mark), David Hambright (Paola), Susan Wine (Roger), Mark Klemperer, Kurt Klemperer (Jenn), Nathan Klemperer (Marilyn), and Kristen Fenster (Mitchell); and many great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Hambright and Carolyn Fernquist, and a niece, Kathryn Hinds.

A brief graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Wentz United Church of Christ Cemetery, 3246 Skippack Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Donna's memory to a charity of your choice.  The family would like to thank the staff of Elm Terrace for their care for Donna the past year.
