Lansdale

Earl Henry Steinbicker, 90, passed away at his residence in Lansdale, PA on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Born in Allentown, PA, he was a son of the late Roland and Johanna (Ruisz) Steinbicker

Earl moved to New York City at the age of 18, to become an assistant to famed photographer Richard Avedon.  He served in the U.S, Army from 1957 through 1959 as a Personnel Specialist in Tokyo, Japan; Earl was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. As a professional photographer, Earl spent many years traveling the world photographing many celebrities and musicians, including but not limited to the Beatles, Chicago, Billy Joel and AC/DC.  Later, he switched career paths by writing the travel book series, "Daytrips", sharing his love of exploration with a wide fan base.

Earl always enjoyed getting fresh air and spending time outside.  A favorite way to achieve this was through his walks at Whites Road Park in Lansdale.  He also valued spending time with friends and family over good food and beer.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Steinbicker (wife Linda), nephew James Muth (wife Kristen), niece Joanna Muth, and a great niece and nephew, Haley and Nicholas Muth.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Elsa Muth (husband Charles).

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a veteran's charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
