Edward J. Mclaughlin

Edward J. McLaughlin Jr, 73, of North Wales, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 14, 2022. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Sosna) McLaughlin.

Born October 27, 1949, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward J. McLaughlin Sr. and Catherine (Gildea) McLaughlin.

Ed was a honorably discharged veteran of the Vietnam war serving in the Army. He had a passion for collecting trains and Hess trucks. He would be considered to be a collector of novelties. Ed also enjoyed watching Turner Classic movies and was a history buff.

Along with his wife, his survivors include two children, Christina M. McLaughlin, Philadelphia, and Edward J. McLaughlin III, Los Angeles, CA; siblings, MaryAnn Costar (Larry), Catherine Knowles (Bob), Roseann Myers, Dee McLaughlin (surviving spouse of Francis), Joseph McLaughlin, William McLaughlin (Mary Beth), Margaret Arcaro (Dave) and Helen Welsh (Patrick). Also surviving are his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by siblings Francis McLaughlin and Martin McLaughlin.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 12, 2022, starting 10:30 A.M. at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, with Celebration of Life Services to begin (noon) 12:00 P.M. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
