Edward "Gary" Minnick passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020. He was the loving husband of Anna M. (Haney) Minnick with whom he married November 11, 1995.
Born August 30, 1955, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward P. and Blanche A. (Bartley) Minnick.
Gary was a loving, devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family. Not only was he committed to his loved ones, but also to the community.
Gary was a devoted member of the Colmar Volunteer Fire Company for more than 18 years. Prior to that he was a volunteer fireman in Warminster. His commitment to the community was also evident by his job as a crossing guard for Lansdale Borough where he loved to interact with the students as they walked to school. Gary will be greatly missed.
Along with his wife, Anna, survivors include three step children, Christina Frederick (Pat), Lansdale, PA, Michael Kehrle (Lisa), Hatfield, PA, and Rebecca Fladie (Adam), Huntsville, TN; siblings, Cheryl Blattner (Wayne), Royersford, PA, Gregg Minnick (Sandy), Stevens, PA; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
He is predeceased by a sister, Sharon Shainline.
The family will receive relatives and friends during a public drive through viewing from 9 until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. At this time you will be able to view Mr. Minnick and talk with the family while remaining in your vehicle. There will be staff outside the funeral home to direct you as you proceed through the viewing vehicle line.
Because of current indoor gathering restrictions, there will be a private Celebration of Life service for family and close friends following the viewing at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
