Elizabeth A. "Betty" Chew

Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Leach) Chew, 95, longtime resident of Hatfield, currently of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl., wife of the late Lester K. Chew Sr., passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Born on December 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Caufield) Leach.

Elizabeth was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Lansdale. She worked for Lansdale High School and American Olean Tile Co. She loved to read, travel, and babysit her grandchildren. She also supported their sports and all their activities.

Surviving are daughters Patti Toomey, wife of Mark, and Karen Gorenflo, wife of Ron; grandchildren Jennifer Gonzalez, wife of Jason, Allison Dhaene, wife of Derrick, Jonathan Toomey, husband of Lauren, and Ethan Toomey, husband of Katlyne; great grandchildren Helena, Giana, Alexis, Stella, Giuliana and Giovanni; and sister Fay Testone, wife of Quentin. Along with her husband of 55 years and parents she is predeceased by her son Kenneth Chew.

Services and interment are private.
