Elizabeth J. McQuaid, 96, of Lansdale, died peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. McQuaid, who died October 4, 2015.

Born November 11, 1929 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Costello) Mullen.

Mrs. McQuaid was a longtime parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lansdale. Earlier in life, she was employed in payroll for many years.

Betty loved playing cards, Bingo, and Rummikub, and she enjoyed teaching and playing Rummikub while residing at Elm Terrace Gardens. She was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies, and NASCAR.

Betty will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and dedication to her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Frances M. Gagliardi (William) of Lansdale, Elizabeth J. Homa (Dr. George) of North Wales, and Sean M. McQuaid of Lewes, DE; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Sharon McQuaid of DeFuniak Springs, FL, and Denise McQuaid of Gilbertsville.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John “Jack” McQuaid and Brian P. McQuaid.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Summeytown Pike, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Conshohocken. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
