Ellis F. Kratz

Ellis F. Kratz, aged 94, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Born on November 20, 1930, in Lansdale, he was the beloved son of the late Irvin and Lydia (Fisher) Kratz. Ellis was the cherished husband of the late Helen M. Kratz, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage.

Ellis dedicated 34 years of his life working as a custodian at Central Schwenkelder Church, where he was a lifetime member, retiring in 1994. He was also known as the last dairy farmer in Upper Gwynedd. His passion for gardening was evident in the beautiful flowers and vegetables he nurtured, and he was a skilled craftsman, creating wooden pieces treasured by many.

He is survived by his loving children, Allen Kratz and his wife Karen of Upper Pottsgrove, Virgil Kratz and his wife Angie of Ephrata, and Ruth Kratz of Trappe. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Marissa, Daniel, Nathan, and Brock, along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Central Schwenkfelder Church, located at 2111 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with interment at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Worcester.
