Ernest G. Clark, Jr

Ernest G. "Ernie" Clark Jr, 93, of North Wales, passed away peacefully January 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ernie was born on September 20, 1931, in Claymont DE to the late Ernest G. Clark, Sr. and Rachel E. (Lamb) Clark. He graduated from Claymont High School and enlisted in the navy. After his discharge he attended Goldey Beacom College, graduating with a degree in accounting.

In 1952 he began his career with E.I. DuPont Company as a lab technician at the experimental station.

Ernie met Mary F. Nolan, and they married on February 15th 1958. Mary and Ernie were original owners in Faulkland Heights, moving into their home in May 1959. His hobbies included a membership in the civil war round table club, genealogy and walking with the station strutters club.

After Mary's death in 1997 he found companionship with Elvira Smith, later relocating to North Wales with her. They enjoyed bus trips and dinners out with friends, attended church at Christ United Methodist, deer watching in the back yard, and gardening.

In addition to his wife Mary, he was predeceased by his son Daniel in 1957 and his son Kevin M. Clark on November 3, 2024.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Jane Scheib (Gary); grandson, Timothy Frieze II (Diane); granddaughters, Rachel Alicea (Pedro), Heather Lewicki (John); 11 great grandchildren, brother, William Clark (Alice); and companion, Elvira Smith, her daughter, Lori (Bill) Graff and granddaughter, Jennifer Germani (James)

The family will receive friends starting 10 A.M. Friday, January 10, 2025, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, with the Funeral at 11:30 A.M.

A second viewing will begin 9:30 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Marshallton United Methodist Church, 1105 Stanton Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808, with the Funeral at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to either Christ UMC, 1020 S. Valley Forge Rd, Lansdale, PA 19446, or Marshallton UMC (address above).
