Frederick H. Gross, 69, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Born June 16, 1942 in Philadelphia, he was the son of Peggy C. Gross, of Hatfield, and the late Frederick H. Gross, Jr.
Mr. Gross was an active member of Hatboro Horsham High School Class of 1959 where he served as class president and co-captain of the football team. He earned his B.S. degree from Cornell University School of Engineering.
His life's passion was flying, and he dedicated many years to learning the art of piloting gliders.
He is survived by his children, Scott T. Gross and wife Kim of Hillsborough, NJ, and Nancy J. Patin and husband Joseph of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Lauren, Andrew, Joseph, and Jude; two sisters, Linda Kincaid and husband Fred of Tulsa, OK, and Susan Foley and husband Bob of New Hope; and his longtime companion, Mary Lou Schultz of Lansdale.
The Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Chapel of Pine Run Community, 777 Ferry Road, Doylestown. Relatives and friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
For those desiring, contributions may be made in Mr. Gross's memory to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
