George Bowman

George "Poppa B" Bowman, 73, of Hatfield, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017. He was the husband of the late Cathy Jane Bowman.

Born March 17, 1944 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late George Bowman and Katherine J. (Braun) Anders.

He worked as a pressman for many years, and was a foreman for Horsham Valley Graphics until his retirement in 2006. After his retirement he worked as a bus aide for North Penn Transportation. George enjoyed spending his time fishing, boating, and camping. However, devoting time to his family and traveling the world is what he loved to do most.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Barbara Fox, and her children, Steven, Debbie, and Glen; son, Craig Bowman (Kelli); daughters, Alyson Bowman and Wendy Lipscomb; three grandchildren, TJ, Connor Gill, and Teghann; and two step-grandchildren, Chase and Chance Carlin.

There will be a celebration of life at 5:00 pm Friday, September 15, 2017 at North Penn Social Hall, 141 S. Main Street, North Wales. Interment will be private.
