George N. Long

George N. Long, 91, of North Wales, passed away on August 12, 2026. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Kneller) Long.

Born June 29, 1935 in Kulpsville, PA, he was the son of the late Irwin Long and Katie (Nyce) Long.

George enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Nancy, who he had been married to for 70 years. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his five children, Douglas Long of Telford, Dennis Long of Hatfield, Dan Long (Rhonda) of Hatfield, David Long of North Wales, and Dorene Rice of Harleysville; his seven grandchildren; and his seven great- grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation from 9:00-10:00 am followed by a service at 10:00 am on Saturday August 15, 2026, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 211 S Main Street, North Wales, PA 19454. Burial will follow the service at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Services and arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA.
