Gerald A DiCandilo, 73, of Dagsboro, DE, previously of Lansdale, PA, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Beebe Medical Center.
He was the loving husband of Cheryl (Housekeeper) DiCandilo.
Born July 20, 1951, he was a son of the late Anthony D. and Helen E. (Toro) DiCandilo.
Jerry worked as the Vice President of Cross-Bridge Associates from 1989 – 2020, after which time he retired. From 1983 – 1989, he was employed as a superintendent at Biehn Construction. Prior to 1983, he worked at Schnable Construction.
Throughout his life, Jerry had a great fondness for Harley Davidson Motorcycles. His enthusiasm for these vehicles led him to take part in many different local motorcycle clubs. When he wasn't riding his motorcycle, he could often be found spending time on his boat, enjoying the calmness and serenity of the water. Jerry was an avid fan of many Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.
What brought him the most joy in life was his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather that had a great sense of humor and was known to be loyal and dedicated to those whose lives he was a part of.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by; his son, Brian DiCandilo, and wife Jackie; his daughter, Sara DePue, and husband Robert; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Autumn, Aiden, and Lily; and his brothers, Tony DiCandilo, and wife Chris, and Michael DiCandilo.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph DiCandilo.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to; St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
