Gerald E. Voelker, 89, of Hatfield, died Sunday, June 29, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Henrich) Voelker, his wife of 68 years.
Born November 5, 1935 in Reading, he was a son of the late Adam and Eva (Albert) Voelker.
Mr. Voelker was employed as an engineer for many years, retiring from Alfa Laval in 2000. He was a longtime, active parishioner and dedicated volunteer of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lansdale, and was an avid woodworker. Gerald was also a skilled musician who loved playing in numerous bands, including German polka bands, and marching with the Wyomissing Band.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brenda A. Grigo of Maine, Brian G. Voelker (Sandra) of Harleysville, Donna M. Voelker of Lansdale, Kenneth A. Voelker (Emily) of Perkiomenville, Sharon E. Streff (Charles M.) of Perkasie, and Sandra J. Williams (David J.) of Gilbertsville; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson with two more on the way; his brother, Joseph Voelker; and sister, Virginia Kelly (Daniel).
He was preceded in death by two sons, Steven M. Voelker and James Voelker; and two sisters, Mary Stump and Betty Snell.
Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446 followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mr. Voelker's memory to St. Stanislaus Church, address above.
