Until the past year, Gladys was very involved with the Harleysville Senior Adult Activity Center where she loved organizing and leading the band until it was dissolved, wood carving, pinochle, and bingo.

Over the years, Gladys traveled extensively including trips with her daughter, Elaine, to places such as Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Greece, and Morocco; bus tours with Hagey and Perkiomen Tours, and various trips despite her declining health with Grand View Hospital's Easy Breather Group for various cruises and a trip to Alaska.

She was very excited for the impending arrival of another great-grandson due in May 2017.
