Gladys M. Watson

Gladys M. Watson, 94, of Warrington, left this earth Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Doylestown Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late C. Lewis Watson, her husband of 61 years, who died September 16, 2004.

Born March 4, 1918 in Wilmington, DE, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Blanche (Hannam) Reim.

Mrs. Watson was a founding member of Calvary Church in Wyncote where she was active with the church's Mission Committee and children's mission work. She attended art school in Philadelphia and was an accomplished artist throughout her life.

Along with her late husband, Gladys was a member of the Bucks County Puppet League and Wally Byam Caravan Club for over 30 years. She also enjoyed music, especially the mandolin.

Survivors include her son, David L. Watson and his wife, Deborah of Warrington; three grandchildren, David L. Watson, Jr. and his wife, Kyle of Lansdale, Dawn L. Kunkel and her husband, Christopher of Kirksey, KY, and Daniel L. Watson of Philadelphia; and three great-grandchildren, Joshua D. Watson, Jaden V. Kunkel, and Xander L. Kunkel.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann M. Moller.

Relatives and friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Calvary Church, 7910 Washington Lane, Wyncote, PA 19095 followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mrs. Watson's memory to El Rancho Del Rey, P.O. Box 1827, McAllen, TX 78505-1827.
