Grace Ziegenfus

May 26, 1937 — January 15, 2026

Grace (Barshinger) Ziegenfus, 88, of North Wales, beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Ziegenfus, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at St. Mary's Manor in Lansdale, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Beaver) Barshinger.

It was at the former Philadelphia College of the Bible (now Cairn University) where God brought together two hearts devoted to Him. Grace met her beloved husband, William, and together they built a Christ-centered home. The foundation they built continues to grow and prosper in their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Grace's life was a testimony to her faith. She often said her two greatest loves were "faith and family." She was a member of Immanuel Church of the Nazarene, where her servant's heart shone brightly through her passionate work in children's ministry. For many years, she shared God's love with countless young hearts, teaching them Bible stories and showing them the way to salvation.

Grace's pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The time she spent with each was one of her greatest blessings. Whether through time together in person, or the many phone calls, she loved hearing and sharing stories about each of them and the smiles and laughter it always brought to her. Grace had a tremendous gift and passion for always remembering each of their birthdays, holidays, and other special days with a card in the mail. That small gesture was a huge reminder to each of her family members that they were always in her heart and prayers.

Grace found simple joy in the blessings God provided. She loved creating and gifting beautiful crafts through sewing, often making quilted wall hangings for her family. Grace cherished time with her family including camping and RVing with her husband, Bill, and loved it when members of the family were able to join them. Some of her favorite places to camp included: Old Mill Stream in Lancaster, PA, Chincoteague, VA, and Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William, with whom she now rejoices in heaven; her daughter, Mary Ellen Ziegenfus, whom she longed to see again; her parents, Charles and Irene Barshinger; her brother, Paul Barshinger; and her sister, Ruth Kneller.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: John Ziegenfus (Audrey), Charles "Chuck" Ziegenfus, and Cheryl Ziegenfus; grandchildren Holly Westcott (Logan), Dania Aiudi, Laura Martin (Micah), Kristi Modine (Tyler), Briana Fernandez, and Andrew Ziegenfus (Jenah); and fifteen precious great-grandchildren: Brinley, Sydney, Amya, Nahla, Kaya, Molly, Ellie, Evan, Nadia, Aidan, Alejandro "Junior," Emmanuel, Isaiah, Kylah, and Annie.

A celebration of Grace's life will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA and a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
