Gregory D. Wolfle, Sr., 80, of Lansdale, died Friday, October 16, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Carolynne (Lamento) Wolfle, who died December 16, 2020.
Born September 18, 1946 in Staten Island, NY, he was a son of the late August and Edith (Bradow) Wolfle.
Mr. Wolfle was employed with Merck for 38 years, retiring in 2003, where he was active with the Merck Union Retirees’ Club and served as prayer leader.
Greg was a member and worship leader of Good News Church, Quakertown, PA. Earlier in life, he attended Northeast Bible Institute and was as an ordained minister. Along with his dear friend and colleague, Pastor Clifford Liu, he made several trips to China, visiting churches and orphanages in several provinces, including Beijing, Shanghai, Quimin, Qingdao and many other cities. He dearly loved the Chinese community and its people.
His hobbies included golfing, working in his yard, bowling, visiting his children, grandchildren and friends, going to Costco, and driving his car listening to Oldies music.
Greg was a devoted husband and father, and showed the love of Jesus Christ with everyone he met. His greatest desire was for people to come to know Jesus, just as he did at El Bethel Church in Staten Island when he was a teenager. He gave his heart to Christ and decided to go to school for ministry, where he met the love of his life, Carolynne Lamento. They raised four children with Christ as the center of their home and they left a legacy of love, laughter, family and faithfulness, that their children hope to continue to pass on to generations to come.
Survivors include his children, Russell G. Wolfle of Schwenksville, Jeffrey M. Wolfle of East Norriton, Karin M. Wolfle of Hatfield, and Gregory D. Wolfle, Jr. (Donna) of Schwenksville; four grandchildren, Daniel B. Wolfle (Marissa) of Harleysville, Ryan Hendricks of Lansdale, Christopher M. Wolfle of Schwenksville, and August “AJ’ Hendricks of Hatfield; and his great-grandson, Isaac Wolfle.
He was preceded in death by his brother, August John; his sisters, Edith and Arline; and his beloved Dachshund, Rocky.
