H. Richard "Butch" Francis Jr.

H. Richard "Butch" Francis Jr., 82, husband of Margaret "Peg" (McConnell) Francis, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Elm Terrace Gardens.

Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late H. Richard "Dick" Francis Sr. and Anne E. (Keevill) Francis.

Butch was an US Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 933 in Hatfield. Butch worked for the IBEW Local 98 over 55 years, loved golfing, and enjoyed watching Penn State Football and the Philadelphia Phillies.  Butch was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale where he was on the Veterans Committee.

Other than his wife, Butch is survived by his children, Harry R. "Rich" Francis III, husband of Monica, Brian Francis, husband of Scott Patton, Julie (Francis) Kurz, wife of Blaze, Lori Gottshall, wife of Kevin, and Nicole Vittese; grandchildren, Anna Francis, Benjamin Kurz, Adam Francis, Connor Kurz, Alyssa Vittese, Victoria Gottshall, Samantha Vittese, and Jakob Gottshall; and great-grandson Cameron.  Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, William "Bill" and Michael "Mike" Francis.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Elm Terrace Gardens, 660 North Broad Street, Lansdale, with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Butch's name to Hatfield American Legion Post 933, 2100 Koffel Road, Hatfield, PA 19440.
