Hannah M. Lowrey LANSDALE, PA – Hannah M. Lowrey, 91, died on Sunday, March 2. Born on August 5, 1933, in Trenton, NJ. She was a lifelong area resident until moving to Pennsylvania, where she resided at Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale for the past 30 years.

Once she moved to Lansdale, she embraced retired life, singing in the Brittany Point Estates choir, editing the Brittany Pointer newsletter, and taking swim aerobics classes. She was part of the "original class" of residents at Brittany Point Estates. She quickly became known for her warmth, conversational skills, a wealth of knowledge on various topics, and uncanny ability to be a straight shooter.

Hannah had an affinity for sports and a love of and talent for softball. This was evident by her induction to the Trenton Softball Hall of Fame in 1991. This affinity for sports carried throughout her life as she enjoyed a good baseball or football game and could keep pace with the most avid sports fans.

Hannah enjoyed a 40+-year career that began as a long-distance operator for Bell Telephone. A proud member of the IBEW Union, Local 827, she retired from ATT, a successor of the earlier Bell.

As a devoted Christian, Hannah was a member of the Church of the Incarnation in Quakertown, where her faith played a central role in her life.

Hannah loved furry creatures, especially cats. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, visiting Atlantic City, and traveling, especially through New England, to view the fall foliage. Her best friend of 56 years, Louise Calaiaro, who predeceased her, often accompanied her on these adventures.

Daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Doolan) Lowrey and sister of the late Charles Lowrey, Ethel Kmiecik, and Margaret Romberger, she is survived by her nephews Charles Romberger and his husband, William, Matthew Romberger and his wife, Patricia, Karl Romberger, Jr. and his wife, Marcie, and Andrew Romberger and his wife Mariella, her chosen "niece" Denise Wyers and her husband, Michael, an abundance of great nieces and nephews, extended family, a dear friend, Gail McBride, and friends from the Brittany Point community. She was also predeceased by her beloved cats, Mike and Ike, Cinders and Sarah.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
