Howard Barrick

Howard Barrick, 89, of Hatfield, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026 after peaceful, meaningful visits with loved ones. As her beloved husband, Howard has joined his partner of 54 years, Marian (Hunsicker) Barrick, who died December 3, 2022.

Born September 14, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was a son of the late Walter and Nellie (Huffman) Barrick.

Mr. Barrick worked at Moore Business Forms, owned and operated Barrick's Lawn Service, of Quakertown, and finished his career working at Grand View Outpatient Center. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Howard will be remembered for his deep faith, positivity, love of family, dedication to friends, and was everyone's biggest fan. He was connected to a number of churches, including Trinity Great Swamp UCC, Faith UCC Center Valley, and congregations at Derstine Run and Neshaminy Manor.

Howard loved spending time with family, traveling with Marian, including many cruises, and camping at Rehoboth Beach. He was a beacon to all who knew him; leading by example, working hard, forever learning — with a dedication to kindness, caring, forgiveness and fairness that improved the lives of anyone he touched.

Survivors include his beloved children, including his daughters, Diane Wood of Springville, NY, Valerie Heltz of Springville, and Cathy Kassa (Jonathan) of Montgomery Township; sons, Howard Barrick, Jr. (Sheri) of Harrisburg, and Ronald Barrick (Jody) of Altoona; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his dear friend, Helen.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lionel, Ronald, and Walter whom he loved greatly, along with their families.

Relatives and friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main Street, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Howard's memory to Manna on Main Street, 606 E. Main Street, Lansdale, PA 19446.
