Hugo Ciccotosto, Jr., aged 91, passed away on September 13, 2025. Born on November 8, 1933, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the cherished son of the late Ugolino Ricardo Eugenio and Mabel Elizabeth (Russell) Ciccotosto.
Hugo was a devoted member of the Central Schwenkfelder Church in Lansdale and proudly served his country as a US Army veteran. He built a successful career at Rohm and Haas in the Purchasing Department and furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science in 1976.
Hugo was a passionate music lover, especially of classical and opera. He sang with the Bucks County Choral Society and various church choirs, and played the clarinet and saxophone with the Red Hill Band. He also enjoyed spending summers camping at Myrtle Beach Travel Park, sharing his love for the beach and camping with his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wives, D. Jean and Marian, his brother Donald, his children Cathy and Richard (Maeve), and his stepdaughter Joyce Gallen (Jack). Hugo is survived by his son, Paul (Donna), daughter-in-law, Maeve (Frank), grandchildren, Anthony, Jennifer, and Emma, stepdaughter, Susan Sinnamon (Tom), seven step-grandchildren, and fourteen step-great-grandchildren.
Hugo's life will be celebrated with a viewing from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA. with Shilo-MacCalla lodge No 558 F & AM concluding the viewing at 6:00 PM.
A second viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. on September 22, 2025, at Central Schwenkfelder Church, 2111 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA , followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m.. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Hugo's memory to Knights Templar Eye Foundation
Hugo will be remembered for his love of music, his dedication to his family, and the stories he shared of his life experiences. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
