James D. Mydock, 69, of Greencastle PA, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Born December 30, 1955 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James and Melva (Denis) Mydock.
James was the life of the party wherever he went. He had a unique, good-natured sense of humor and a knack for imitating funny voices. His sense of humor made even ordinary moments a fun time.
James was creative and he loved blacksmithing, playing the harmonica and listening to music. He went to blacksmithing school on the west coast and enjoyed his time there before moving back to Pittsburgh.
An avid lover of the outdoors, he leaves behind a legacy as a "mountain man" and a deep appreciation for the beauty our world has to offer.
James is now in a happy place with his beloved late parents and late friends and cousins. They are meeting him with open arms and are happy to have his big heart and larger than life personality with them in heaven.
Survivors include his children, Serena Timko (Jacob) of Irwin, PA, and Justin Mydock (Ashleigh) of Ault, CO; three grandchildren; four sisters, Kathy Otterbeck (Rob) of West Deer, PA, Anne Pribble (late Stephen) of State Line, PA, Linda Yingling (Ron) of Pittsburgh, and Karen Goch (Chris) of Allegheny Township, PA; and 18 nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home.
