James "Cy" Young

James "Cy" Young, 80 of Lansdale, PA passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at St Luke's Grandview Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Barbara D. Young. He is survived by his loving partner Elaine Landis. He is survived by his four daughters, Rebecca Young, and husband Richard Messing, Wendy Young Juckniewitz, and husband John Juckniewitz, Kelly Young, and Tory Young; his grandchildren Richard, James, Ande, and Dalton Messing; Mason, Griffen, Lextyn, and Karlyn Juckniewitz; Maxwell and Bowe Robins; Nolen and Brycen Foust; his great grandchildren Shea and Logan Messing and Brooks Juckniewitz; and his sister Dale Young Pardue.

Born December 2, 1944, he was the son of the late Dal and Thelma (Hood) Young.

James was a Nationwide insurance agent for over 30 years. Prior to that he worked in sales for IBM and 3M. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Indian Valley Country Club. He loved traveling and spending time with friends and family.

He will be remembered as a great storyteller. He was charismatic and always the life of the party. His daughters will treasure their memories, growing up surrounded by family, friends,and fun times.His stories, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will receive visitor Friday, September 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446.
