Jane "Janie" Brown Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jane "Janie" Brown, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left us recently. She was a dedicated and loving individual known for her quiet demeanor and surprising sense of humor that could catch anyone off guard.
Jane's career spanned several esteemed institutions. She served diligently at Sears, US Bioscience, and ICON Clinical Research, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Jane was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Crestmont, where she dedicated much of her time to working with children and youth groups in various outreach events. She also enjoyed singing in the church choirs, using her voice to bring joy and solace to many. She also had belonged Trinity Chelten United Methodist and New Covenant Church. Additionally Janie was a graduate of LaSalle University.
Known affectionately as Janie or Aunt Janie, Jane was a thoughtful and understanding mother, always willing to listen and offer advice or help without judgment. Her home and heart were always open to those in need. Jane enjoyed traveling on family vacations and church trips, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love.
Jane Brown's life was a testament to her unwavering kindness, generosity, and love for others. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
Jane is survived by her loving son, Marcus Brown-Wright (Janelee), Lansdale, her sister Carlene, brother-in-law Louis Bailey, and niece Dina. She was also a cherished friend to Angela Perez. Jane was deeply loved by her late childhood friend Frances Williams, and Frances's surviving son, Dwayne King; two cousins, Doris and Maude.
The family will receive starting 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 1678 Fairview Ave, Willow Grove, PA 19090, with Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
